4640 / 4840 / 5640 / 6640 FEATURES:

• Standard and optional high-flow auxiliary hydraulic systems provide the high pressures and flows necessary to power virtually any attachment
• Maintenance-free, radial-piston drive motors have high start-up torque for rapid acceleration
• Standard ground speed up to 8.5 mph, or up to 12.5 mph with optional two-speed (not available on 4640)
• Standard engine auto-shutdown feature turns off engine when low oil pressure or high temperatures are detected

LARGER CAB WITH FATIGUE-FIGHTING FEATURES

A larger operator compartment with clear side and rear sight lines gives operators full, extended views for increased safety. New, high-back, adjustable padded seat improves comfort. Suspension seat and factory-installed air-conditioning/heater system are available options.

• ROPS/FOPS (Level II) for extra operator protection
• Grid section and window in roof provide excellent bucket visibility at full height
• Adjustable operator restraint bar offers secondary protection and serves as a padded armrest
• Lockout system shuts down lift/tilt functions when optional front door is opened
• T-bar "hands only," dual-hand or hand/foot control match any operator's preference

EASY MAINTENANCE

• Entire ROPS/FOPS structure pivots back, with gas-spring assist, for full, easy access to internal hydraulic components.
• Swing-open rear door and flip-up engine cover fully expose maintenance access points to engine, battery, filters and filler caps
• Maintenance-free axles are lubricated and sealed for long life
• Removable access plates for ease of clean out

One look and you'll see that the 40 Series is built for efficiency. The patented Powerview® lift arm offers excellent operator visibility. And Super Hi-power drive chains feature heavy, high-strength construction, designed to stand up to rugged conditions.

• Longer wheelbase and low center-of-gravity offer a smooth, stable ride
• Hydraglide™ ride control option available on all 40 Series models
• Hydraloc™ automatic interlock system locks lift, tilt and drive systems when operator leaves the seat or when restraint bar is raised or the ignition switch is turned off, increasing operator safety
• Lift arm hydraulic tubes are concealed and protected from work environment
• Forged one-piece axle shafts feature HD tapered roller bearings and "quad"-lip seals with trash protection around the seal area
• Drivetrain now features approximately 25% fewer parts
• Adjustments can be made to the simple "bow tie" chain system from outside unit - no more internal adjustments
• Rated operating load can be readily increased with addition of counterweights
