Gehl Box Spreaders

Solid, reliable performers.

When it's time to spread, farmers need a spreader that will deliver a good spread pattern in a variety of materials. And a spreader that will do that job day after day and year after year without fail. Gehl box spreaders deliver that kind of performance and that kind of reliability. Four models are available with capacities to match any operation.

Built to last, with a 12-Year Warranty

Gehl backs their box spreaders with a 12-year warranty on the sides and floor. If the sides or floor fail while the rest of the spreader is still operational, Gehl will replace them free of charge. This warranty applies to the original owner and all subsequent owners — that means extra resale value at trade-in time.

Built extra-strong

Gehl box spreaders are built extra-strong. The solid A-frame hitch extends far back under the box to help eliminate pulling strains on the box that big loads and rough fields can produce. Extra-heavy-duty axles feature high-strength steel plates and spindles to reduce frame stress. Tough corrosion-resistant steel used in the sides and endgate is stronger than ordinary steel.

The floor is constructed from high-density polyethylene tongue-and-groove planks. The floorboards are designed to "float" so they can expand and contract without stressing the spreader sides and frame. The floor material resists acid, won't warp or rot, and provides a slippery surface so manure slides out with less resistance.

Tops in Performance

Gehl box spreaders excel in performance and operator convenience

A straight-line V-belt drive delivers smooth, quiet operation without the need for a slip clutch. An optional hydraulic remote control makes spreading jobs easier, especially with cab-equipped tractors.

A hydraulic drive option is also available. It provides eight unloading speeds to match any load, ground speed and application rate requirements.

The heavy-duty 90-degree beater drive features tapered roller bearings and heat-treated bevel gears. A worm-gear drive transmits smooth, constant power to the apron chain. Both T-rod and pintle-type apron chains are available.

Rugged beater assemblies feature replaceable bolt-on paddles. The aggressive paddle design rips and shreds manure for a more consistent spread. An optional upper beater is available on all models.
