Gehl Tires and Tracks

Out here, your machine is only as good as its foundation. That rubber or track under your rig is the only contact point between the machine structure and the ground, and it’s what keeps your hard work moving forward. At GEHL, we don't just pick any tire; we select them for the grit, stability, and ground grip you need to get the job done right.

Inflatable Tires: The Bread and Butter of Traction

Whether you’re running agricultural tires through a muddy field or moving pallets on a job site, your tires are doing the heavy lifting. They provide the absorption of ground irregularities that keeps you in the seat longer without wearing out your back or your machine.

The GEHL Standard for Your Wheels:

  • Radial vs. Bias: We offer both. Radial tires are the high-tech choice for comfort, better fuel economy, and superior ground grip in the field. Bias tires are the rugged, economical choice for those rough, rocky sites where sidewall strength is king.
  • Tubeless and Inner Tube: Whether you’re running a modern tubeless setup or need a reliable inner tube, we’ve got the right dimensions and load ratings for your specific axle.
  • Built Tough: We check every wheel stud, rim, and wheel hub to ensure that when you're at speed, your machine stays steady.

Watching for Wear and Tear

Rubber doesn't last forever, especially when you're working it hard. You need to keep a sharp eye on your tread and sidewalls. If you see cracking or deep cracks, you’re looking at a blowout waiting to happen.

  • Cuts and Tearing: Rough debris can cause tearing that ruins a tire's integrity.
  • Pressure is Everything: Check your pressure when the tires are cold. Under-inflated tires chew through fuel and kill your sidewalls, while over-inflation makes for a bumpy ride and poor ground grip.

Solid Soft Tires (SST): No Room for Flats

When you’re working in scrap yards or demo sites, a flat tire is a hole in your pocket. GEHL approved Solid Soft Tires are built from layers of tough rubber—no air, no punctures, no downtime.

  • Stability: These tires handle massive load ratings without breaking a sweat.
  • Axle Care: Always replace both tires on the same axle to keep your machine level and safe.
  • Direct Fit: They lock onto your rims with steel-reinforced bases so there’s no slipping when the torque kicks in.

GEHL Tracks: Grabbing the Earth

Your loader's tracks are what turn engine's power into real-world results. We offer 4-season (ZigZag), C-Lug(Block), Honeycomb and Straight Bar patterns. Contact your local dealer to find out what tread pattern is right for you!

  • Signs it’s Time to Swap: If you see the internal steel cable, your track is on its last legs. Rust will eat that cable alive once the rubber is gone.
  • Monitor the Hardware: Check your wheel hubs and sprockets. If the track is loose or the lugs are missing, you’re looking at a derailment that’ll stop your day cold.
  • Tension: Experience innovation that works as hard as you do with our patented IdealTrax system. By automatically maintaining the perfect track tension, this technology minimizes wear and tear and eliminates the hassle of manual adjustments.

The GEHL Commitment

Don't gamble your safety or your comfort on "will-fit" rubber. Stick to the GEHL recommendations in your logbook to keep your speed up and your downtime down. Talk to your local dealer—they know the dirt you work in and the load ratings you need.
